Each week Five Minute Friday allows the opportunity to write for five minutes on weekly words – this week’s word is TABLE.

How to have Happy Holidays.

First set a beautiful table: Place lots of love, joy and peace all over the table. you can’t be too elaborate with these festive adornments. You won’t run out and Jesus paid for them all, so use them profusely.

Second table the troubles: For the holidays, while continuing in prayer for needs of yourself and others, table the troubles. Drop the conversation about it all. Not enough money? God supplies. Not enough time? God will make a way. Lonely? Talk to Jesus. Fearful? Perfect Love casts out all fear. Put away the issues that tend to divide and ask God to use you to unite.

Third write a table of all the blessings provided free of cost as you lean on the Lord. Thank Him for the manger, without it there would be nowhere for a virgin birth to occur. Thank Him for the cross, without it there would be no perfect sacrifice for our sins. Thank Him for the resurrection, without it we’d have no hope of any kind ever.

Oh beloved, three simple  steps regarding tables and you will be the best hostess  who is full of joy, love and peace as you regard the simplicity of the holidays and hug around your table for the banner over your life is Love. Give Him the glory as you live in the Light of the Holy Days of the Lord!

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  Colossians 3:16 NASB

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

Great post. Reminds me to focus on the perspective of all Jesus/God has done for us. Visiting from FMF where I’m parked in the #3 spot.
