What’s Hidden Won’t Always Be

“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” Luke 8:17

I have to admit that I want a dog. Not just any dog. But one of the 17 puppies that were dropped at the local Humane Society. Seventeen precious little darlings and such a variety. I love soulful eyes (and there is one there). I also love scruffy pups and there are several of them. Who wouldn’t fall in love with them?

It’s been many years since we had a home doggie. I have missed it all the while but for quite a few of those years we were really busy with family and ministry.

So this hidden desire of my heart is a real pull. One hand it would be wonderful to have a new “baby”. On the other hand do I really want this tie down of sorts? Do I want to crate train and buy food and hope people don’t mind an extra dog when we travel?

I’d like to just stop there. But the hubs doesn’t want another dog. There, that’s the hidden thing really isn’t it?

Oh beloved, we want what we want and we know all the ins and outs of our desires. But God knows the hidden stuff, the inside story so to speak. And regardless of our desires we must learn to listen to Him so that when that which is hidden is revealed we don’t have a mess on our hands for the world to see! We are mighty women of God and He is our Captain and King. He knows best and He leads us through still waters and restores our souls even when the answer is no or the plan is a no go.

God loves us and He’s for us always! You are the delight of His heart precious daughter and His plans are your very best. Let God be brought into the open with your heart’s desires and you will be blessed no matter what!

I John 5:14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
