This first thing out here this morning as I say the word purpose to myself is wondering. Wondering what the purpose of things are. Wondering what the point of going through things could be. And most of all wondering what on earth is God doing and how can he make this turn out right?
Oh beloved. As far as our end, there are two purposes in our life. Only two. One purpose is to be saved. Secure this relationship with Jesus and your life wills find rich and rewarding purpose.
The other purpose is to be confirmed to the image of the Savior. And that beloved is the amazing life of learning how to see God in everything. And learning how to see yourself as loved, cared for, and secure in everything.
Purpose in life is not always easy. But purpose in Christ makes everything easier even in the hard places. Keep your focus on your true purpose. It will cause you to trust God in a deeper way and learn how to live for Jesus alone.
God loves you and he is for you always. He does want to give you a life with real purpose and you will never have it apart from him through Christ. Rejoice today that you get to live in the light of the purposes of God in a magnificent display of his glory as you walk with Jesus all the way.
Jeremiah 29: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose

I’m reminded of my Catholic catechism that taught me : God made you, to know Him, to love Him, to serve Him, to be happy with Him in this world and the next.
