I was reading about an auction coming up where the home, land and equipment are going to sell regardless of the price to the highest bidder on auction day. It reminds me of a guy hubby used to work with years ago. He told hubby he didn’t have anything that he wouldn’t sell if the price was right.
An auction puts the price in the hands of the buyer. A sale puts the price in the hands of the seller.
Oh beloved, two things come to mind that the Lord wants us to know. Jesus paid too high a price for us. We were on the auction block waiting between life and death. Neither man nor beast wanted to pay what God said we were worth. So Jesus stepped into the arena of life and gave it all for us to be set free. Not only to be set free, but He paid the price for us to be God’s own children. We were no longer destined to live for self and love ourselves. Bought with a price, forgiven of past debts and redeemed to be a member of the beloved! The Lover of our souls has made a way for us to live in Christ forever!
God loves you and He wants to change your life. Think about this wondrous love. What a blessing to know that you couldn’t redeem yourself, the price was too high. So someone stepped into your place and paid the price for you. He did it all for love. And that, beloved, is the love you have been looking for all your life. Glory!
