Not Late In God’s Plan – Friday, June 22nd

Well the alarms didn’t work well this morning. So we are running late and trying to get Danny out the door. I’m so thankful that God never runs late nor does He consider our rushing mornings as something to worry about.

Oh beloved, you aren’t late when it comes to God’s plan. It may seem impossible for you to get where you need to get. But God is on time. And because you are His, you will always make it just when He wants you to and without fail.

The Lord wants you to know this morning that you are His and therefore everything that concerns you is covered by Him. He doesn’t fear, He won’t worry, He can’t quit and He doesn’t put out alarms when things go wrong. You are so precious to Him that He causes everything that worries you to be a vehicle for peace. He causes everything that has giving you tears to be a river of blessing. He gives you beauty for ashes – by lifting you up and out of the alarming circumstances and into His loving arms!

God loves you and He’s for you. Now listen, precious one. He chose you before you were born, He carried you through your life, He introduced you to Jesus, He filled you with His Spirit and gave you the Mind of Christ! What do you have to worry about? Today is your day to get up, get dressed, praise the Lord and carry on! Because your destiny is firmly settled in heaven and carried out on earth. Rejoice that you get to live in the Light of all this and more as you walk in the truth and never fall for false alarms again!

Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you: “Do not fear, I will help you.”

Haggai 2:5
This is the promise I made to you when you came out of Egypt. And My Spirit remains among you; do not be afraid.”

2 Corinthians 3:4 We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ.

Storm Brewing – Saturday June 23rd

As I sit here this morning there is a storm brewing. I hear the wind howling and the distant thunder. It will be right here on us soon. We are so dry that a nice downpour would be wonderful, but I don’t look forward to the possibility of damaging weather.

Oh beloved, you didn’t ask for stormy weather but you got it nonetheless. You can hear the distant rumble of trouble and you’d like to just avoid it altogether. You’ve been hit before. And it wasn’t pleasant. Haven’t you had enough?

The Lord wants you to know that He rides above the storm. He says it’s time to relax. Impossible I know. Except that you are not a storm victim, but a victor in Christ. Over and over you’ve weathered things that nobody wants to go through. But within you is brewing a new strength that will overcome everything. It’s not time to cower in fear or try to run from anything. It’s time to take a stand and look at your King. He is not afraid, intimidated or even concerned with the things you face. Because He is above the storm He intends to set you on high with Him. So you become a surveyor rather than a participant in the tempest. You have the Word within you and it is your weather map – as you remind yourself of God’s truth the fear will roll away like the clouds. When this storm is over others will enlist your help because your testimony will reach far and wide – the testimony that God reigns over all the earth and gives strength to His own!

God loves you and He’s for you. Remember, precious one, that you are His and His great Holy Spirit resides within you. No longer will you fear the reports, watch for the worst or hope you survive. No, you are going to praise the Lord, watch His Word and live in the Light of His overcoming plans for your wonderful, blessed and thriving life.

2 Peter 2:9 So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.

Isaiah 25:4 But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O LORD, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat.

Matthew 7:24-25 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.

Psalm 100:4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name.

Confession Time Again – Sunday June 25th

Confession time. My parents traveled a lot, even when I was a teenager. Several times they left me at home because I had school and work. One time they went with another couple and left my mom’s car at home. One night I decided I’d go for a ride. I got in the car and started out the drive, went down to the end of the street and out on the highway. As I rounded the first curve I realized I was really doing a dumb thing – dangerous, no driver’s license and more. I prayed. “Oh God, if you’ll just help me get back home I won’t do this again!” I made it back to the house. And sure enough I didn’t ever do that again.

Oh beloved, sometimes we get to thinking we have freedom to do things that we really shouldn’t do. We think it’s dark, no one is watching and it would be fun. But if we belong to Christ there is Holy Spirit conviction that will come on us sometime during our mindless moments. This is God’s overwhelming love. He doesn’t just rescue us when we’re lost – He keeps on rescuing us all the days of our lives. All we have to do is cry out to Him and ask for help. He’s there in an instant. He’s not going to say no you’ve got yourself into this mess now get out of it.
The Lord reminds you and me this morning of who we really are.

We’re not rebellious kids bent on doing wrong – we are His righteous offspring, full of righteous deeds and full of salvation that reaches into our inner beings and gives us an unction of the Holy Spirit to do that which pleases Him. You, beloved, are His and therefore its built in to feel remorse when you’re out of sync with the Spirit and to feel confidence when you know you make right decisions. You are blessed, beloved, beyond the reaches of the far ends of the galaxy. Your blessing comes from the Only Living God, who resides above all kingdoms. You are full of promise and prosperity. Both things are beyond earthly definitions of the words – Promise denotes anointing. Prosperity denotes richness of spiritual depth that doesn’t come from the flesh. You are beautiful and safe – ransomed by the Lord Himself – for the good works of faith, not the freedom of worldly desires.

God wants you to know that He sees you and watches over you and desires to guide you in all your ways, so that wherever you go you will be an emissary of love, faith and blessings to the watching world. Unlike my parents, who traveled away from home on occasion, your Heavenly Father never leaves you. Rejoice that you have blessings driving up, blessings going out, blessings in your home and blessings in your travels.

God loves you and He’s for you. You’re not the sum of your childhood mistakes or your adult transgressions. Run home to the Lord this morning. Ask Him for a fresh infilling of His Spirit, repent, renew and remain close to Him. And live in the Light of His wonderful plan for your life which He gave to you as a beautiful gift of salvation from Christ!

Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.

Philippians 2:13 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Psalm 34:9 Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need

Don’t Just Scratch the Surface – Monday June 25

This has not been the best year for gardens in our area. Quite a few people have called in and others have brought in samples to be seen by the agents. When things are not so apparent we send the samples on to the disease lab for further examination. Even soil samples are being collected. If you scratch the surface and bring that soil in for testing you will get a far different result than digging deeper. Just a mere half foot deeper and your soil will show true nutrients.

Oh beloved, God says to us all this morning, bring your problems and issues to Him. He sees deeper and He is able to not only diagnose the problem but by His Spirit He can amend the soil of your heart and give you a greater outcome for fruitfulness than you would ever have if you only scratch the surface. Bring your problems – your worries, your withered hopes and all to Him. He is your healer and He promises to give you relief. As you dig deeper with Him, by His Spirit, you will find a new level of fruitfulness you never thought possible.

God sees your heart and He knows your hopes and desires. He is your source of relief as well. You weren’t born again to carry deep problems and issues. You were born to live free of the burdens that the world carries. He calls you chosen and therefore He also has destined for you to have great fruitfulness in your personal life and in your outward life. Just as gardens have to have water to flourish so must have the water of the Word and the Spirit to live abundantly and flourish in your world. As He calls you into His life of abiding in the Vine, you will experience life as you’ve dreamed of. You’re not the sum of your poor experiences- you are the living, breathing, thriving representation of what Jesus will do with territory that is totally given to Him!

God loves you and He’s for you. He is trustworthy to see your needs and show you what’s best for your life. Run to Him this morning and let Him tend to your heart. And praise Him as you are relieved of burdens and enjoy the fruitful life, walking in the light of His Merciful hand!

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life…
John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

John 6:6 Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

Psalm 103: 2-3 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases

Psalm 86:5 For You, O Lord, are kind and forgiving, rich in loving devotion to all who call on You.

Pray about everything.

I am so blessed to be able to visit with one of my most precious friends one evening this week. And we’ve set up another day to have supper together. I even get to meet her daughters and her grandbabies! This is monumental to me. She’s one of my heroes of faith. And just this morning we visited and He reminded me how wonderful a woman of God she is and how much He loves her and is using her for His glory! She’s dying. She was dying the day I met her seven years ago. But now things have gotten so very serious – she’s in her last days/weeks here. Life is so fragile and I must pray.

Why wouldn’t I? After all God is my go to person for everything. I pray about everything. I’ve been praying to God – talking to Him about everything – since I was a little girl. I can barely comprehend the privilege of conversation with such royalty – The Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God! He speaks with me and never do we have a conversation that He does not tell me I am loved, cared for, cared about and cherished!

Oh beloved, the way God feels about my friend and about me is the same way He feels about you! Truly! Deeply! Without reservation! Your present circumstances may make you feel abandoned, uncared for, left out or useless. But beloved, you are to live in the Spirit, according to God’s Word and His words over you are covered in Love! Every one of them! Satan may have done a number on you. He may recount your mistakes to make you feel lower than low. But God is your go to person for everything! You won’t hear condemnation, condescension or disdain in any conversation with Him! He knew you before you even took breath precious one! He knows you intimately now, more intimately than anyone on earth! And He is cheering you on even now. He is lifting you up into His arms right this minute. He is calling you out of the darkness of lies and into His light of TRUTH! You may see yourself as barely making it, but you are a royal diadem in His hands! You are clothed with STRENGTH and DIGNITY! You laugh without fear of the future! You are full of His joy – which heals the very marrow in your bones!

Because you have access to the One Who saved you – there is a privileged life for you! Privileged to be forgiven, chosen, adored, rested, blessed, called, anointed and appointed. No foe can defeat you, no human’s words can contain you, no animosity from any direction can put you down! Your life is secure and you will fulfill God’s plan for your life! You are learning to pray about everything and leave it all in His hands – including your own life and the lives of the ones you are praying so fervently for! Rise up and walk – into your day with confidence that God is with you right now!

God loves you and He’s for you! All the way He leads you. He has already prepared your next home and it is out of this world! He’s listening to your every word and He moves heaven and earth on your behalf daily. Run to Him this morning and thank Him for the privileged life you have! And live in the Light of His Truth about you – you are covered and cared for all the days of your life!

Psalm 139:16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

Proverbs 31:25 She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

I Timothy 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people–

Philippians 4:6 … pray about everything…

Psalm 116:2 Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!
