The Right Ingredient

My oldest niece and I are just months apart in age. We pretty much grew up together. We performed plays for our family, swam in the lake, rode bikes and vacationed with each other for many years. The only thing we ever did that flopped was make a cake. We put everything in the cake that was needed, except we didn’t follow directions. So when the cake came out it was flat and densely spongy. Without the ingredient that would cause it to rise there was no hope. We took one bite and ditched the rest.

Oh beloved, there is one ingredient for your life that will cause you to rise above the hopeless circumstances of life. It’s not the flesh. You can try to count on others but eventually they will let you down. You can’t even count on yourself and your own personal strength. But you can always count on God. He is the glory and the lifter of your head! He made a way through Christ for you to survive every hopeless situation including the one you are encountering now. He went to the cross to give you life that never goes flat. He also sent His Holy Spirit to be your comforter – the One who encourages you in all your situations, lifts you out of the miry clay of doubt and anxiety and sets you on high with Him!

God loves you and He’s for you! His hand of help is extended to you this very day. He says rise up out of impossible and go with Me into the incredible! This season is unprecedented for the Kingdom of God and by the Spirit of the living God you will live and not waste away in sorrow, pain or unbelief! You are destined for this season to be a shining example of Power in weakness as you live in the Light of what Only God Can Do!

Psalm 40:2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.

Psalm 119:5 Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect Your decrees!

Psalm 3:3 But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.

Psalm 37:24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

Success Equals Relationship

One of our friends has moved to California with his wife. They are living in a lovely place built on their daughter’s property. I think both of them grew up in their Arkansas small town, married there and never intended to leave there. He posts a lot of pictures from their old home. He knew what he was doing with his garden and that is obvious in the photos.
For a garden to grow there must be good soil, clean water and quality seeds. You can tell by the size and volume of his old gardens that he knew these things. You would never see him just stepping out on his porch and throwing seeds out. They’d never get a chance to germinate much less grow into fine plants that bear vegetables and fruits in their season. The depth and preparation of the soil, the right moisture and the careful planting of seeds are all part of the success of a garden.

Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that your success revolves around the nature, depth and quality of your relationship with Jesus. He wants you to know that without Him you will find yourself in shallow, rocky soil. Without Him the sun will beat relentlessly and you will find yourself dry and hardened. Without Him there’s no hope of bearing good fruit fit for the Kingdom.

But there’s good news! You have all the right ingredients for success when you have Christ! He makes all things fruitful. Your life is full of promise! While others are busy working themselves to death for very little of God’s riches, you are planting quality into your time with Him! You will reap what you sow and you are sowing much in the Kingdom. Every time you encounter rocks and weeds of life you stop and talk to the Father! Every time you come upon dry times you retreat to His presence. No time with the King is ever wasted! No reliance upon the Savior is lost time! Waiting for the rain of His blessing is your best plan – for He gives everything you need in season. Your destiny is not to work yourself to death for things that don’t even satisfy. No, your destiny is reliance completely on the Lord! It may look to others like you over prepare, but truth is you will finish this season with a bumper crop of love, joy, peace and more!

God loves you and He’s for you! Stay very close to Him. Rely upon the Spirit of the Living God to anoint you, appoint you, prepare you and guide you every step of the way. And rest in His promises as you reap the blessings of the Spirit filled life walking with Christ all the days of your life!

Mark 4:20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

John 15:16 You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

No Regrets

Many of you already know I love a good movie. We watched one recently about a father and son who had the ability to go back in time a relive the past and even change outcomes. Who wouldn’t want to change at least something about their lives? Yet to play with fate is dangerous indeed. He returned to a time after changing an outcome and found that his precious baby daughter was no longer one of his blessings.

What the son found out in the end was that each day should be lived with such joy that nothing needs to be redone. And to leave life in the hands of One who could be trusted in spite of the pain that is encountered along the way.

Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He is more in charge of your life than you can even know. He’s so sovereign that even when you encounter the hardships you are facing His government has no end. You can rest your weary heart on Him. You can look for the joy in the midst of the pain. You can drop the hurts and agonies and move on to better days. Even if you are haunted by a past that isn’t good, you don’t have to worry about re-doing anything. A messed up past is just a stepping stone to a perfection outcome with Christ. He went to the Cross for your regrets. Although remorse may lead us to His forgiveness, it needs never to lead us to hating our lives. You and I, regardless of our pasts, have a new life in Christ.

You have an anointing to make it through everything. You have been appointed to victory in spite of wishing you could go back and do anything differently. Your life is not destined to live in regrets and turmoil over anything. Your destiny is to show forth the praises of Christ who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light. It’s not so much about what you did as what He has done about everything. You’ll remain weak and preoccupied if you ponder your mistakes and wish you could fix them all. Powerful living requires you to ask forgiveness where needed and leave it at the cross.

God loves you and He’s for you. Confess everything to Him. And stop punishing yourself over things the Cross has covered. This is your day to let the past rest where it is and embrace today as a beautiful reason for living. Run to the Father this morning and thank Him for giving you another day in His marvelous grace plan. And live fully alive in the Light of His Glory and Grace!

Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.

I John 1:9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. AMP

2 Peter 1:2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.

I Corinthians 3:20 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption

Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

We Keep Our Eyes on Jesus

We keep our eyes on Jesus
Yesterday my husband gave us a scare. He got very sick quite suddenly. You have to know my husband just doesn’t get sick. Off we went to the emergency room. After testing and watching it was decided that all his symptoms left and he couldn’t have been as sick as we first thought. After about three hours he was released and we went home to continue our family get-together. Whether it was something minor or a serious illness – God arrested the situation and he is symptom free. I prayed over my husband and our serious prayer warriors were praying as well. And our children were praying. I couldn’t gather my wits enough to pray in the Spirit so I said “I’m praying in the Spirit” over and over!

Could the outcome have been different? What if? I don’t entertain what if’s and you shouldn’t either. This is a war, and it’s not physical. It’s spiritual and mighty through God to the pulling down of whatever strongholds you and I are facing. Just pray in faith and don’t allow speculations to deter you. Don’t pray the symptoms – pray the Word. God’s peace is your promise!

Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that you can call on Him for anything. You can pray about everything. You don’t have to be eloquent or perfect in speech or even know what to say. You have no need to ever worry about a single problem, symptom, discouragement or trial. Whatever is going on in your life you have an Advocate, Jesus, who went to the cross so that you would be saved to be sure. But this relationship is so much more. He is your peace that will pass all human reasoning and that peace will guard your heart while you are driving to the hospital, praying over your loved ones, hoping for answers or waiting on God. This relationship with Jesus gives you authority because you are seated in heavenly places with Him. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus reminds us in His Word that He came to give the more abundant life to His children.

When you cannot know what to pray you can trust God and ask Him for help. When you aren’t sure what you are going to do you can ask God and He will cover you. The Word tells us that Jesus lives forever to intercede with God on your behalf. You are safe always – because you are covered in Christ’s Righteousness and He has you covered in prayer.

God loves you and He’s for you. Love Him back with all of your heart. Don’t let the enemy intimidate you another moment. Pray big, audacious, outrageous prayers. Ask for the moon! Trust Him for the answers and watch for miracles, signs and wonders. Who knows but you were born for such a time as this. Your prayers activate the heavenlies and move the heart of the Father. Live for Jesus and seek His face as you fix your eyes on Him and rely on Him all the days of your life.

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 6:18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Waiting and Watching

More than thirty million people are watching April the giraffe on live feed. I’m not sure how long people have been waiting, but you can bet they are exhibiting signs of frustration, anger, irritation and more. In a world of instant return for almost everything, waiting has become a thing of the past. Watchers just want it to happen! Some are still waiting and watching while others have given up and moved on.

Oh beloved, you may not be watching for the birth of a baby giraffe. But you are watching for answers to your prayers. You’ve been waiting for a while for some things to come to fruition. This day you can be sure that God has heard your prayers. You can also be sure that the prayer of faith does not always give an instant return. And you can be sure that God is right on time. He’s no 11th hour God. He’s timely and perfect in execution of every single detail. You may be frustrated, irritated, and feel like you are wasting your time. But God is not slow nor is He ever late.

The power of your prayers is valuable. The waiting and watching is valuable as well. You are not being stood up or left out. You are being built up! Instead of reading the facts on your situation, why not read the facts in the Word of God? The medical report, the scientific evidence, even human nature says it’s not possible. But God is your Father, your Healer, your Provider, your King! He is within you – and an Ever Present Help in time of need. Read about Who God is, spend time in His Presence, give space for His Holy Spirit to work things out. Rejoice that Jesus paid it all! You are moving into the sphere of spiritual reality when everything looks impossible. You may have even said “it’s dead”. No answer is coming. And yet because God is a Resurrection Savior – Jesus made the way for answers to be manifest in miraculous, spectacular, unprecedented ways!

God loves you and He’s for you! Spend plenty of time with Him, cultivate that love relationship with Him. Look to His ways rather than the airways. Rejoice before the answer comes because you know that He is answering. And bless the Lord that Christ made the way for you to walk in faith as you live in the Light of His Power and love!

Psalm 130:5-6 I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Ephesians 3:12 Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
