Today we saw some amazing storm clouds. There were warnings with it. Although it was quite ominous we just kept on our course. Fear would have sent us running for cover. But we had things to do and places to go. It did rain and lightning some but it never did storm.
Oh beloved. You’ve heard the reports and you’ve seen the outlook. Fear wants to grip you and tear your heart right out. You want to run and hide because you know what they have said. But God says to you stand tall and walk forward. He has places for you to go and things for you to do. Every step you take is a healing step and every word you speak I faith is a powerful announcement of God’s glory. Regardless of what anyone says it is God who you must please. Even when threatened with imminent doom God’s Word is your only source of truth. Your destiny is not to die in the storm. Your destiny is to walk on and deliver the message in your heart to the waiting world.
God loves you and He’s for you. Keep your eyes on Him and know that you are walking in His favor and living in the Light of His glory always!

Both hospital and rehab were mazes in layout. Every hall looked pretty much the same. I didn’t want to venture far in case I lost my way. Sometimes I’d have to stop at the end of a hall and look to see which direction I needed to go. Seems like there was always someone who saw my dilemma and would point the way if I needed it.
Oh beloved. Life can be a maze can’t it? One minute you know where you’re going and next minute everything has changed. God wants you to know this morning that regardless of the twists and turns He is with you. He will not allow you to be swallowed up in confusion as you search for direction. Even the most sudden of events don’t catch Him by surprise. He will get you through everything by watching over you, guiding directing and leading you all the way. He is using these maze times to teach you complete reliance on Him. You will never have to rely on yourself for help. And you’ll never feel condemned because you’ve learned that He is the Way.
God loves you and He’s for you always. You will walk out of things completely assured that He can be trusted and you can follow His lead with praise all the way. Rejoice in it all as you walk confidently in His plan full of wisdom and power from on high.

We were indoors for practically the entire month of May. We didn’t lose a month but we spent it differently than we ever expected to. We didn’t plan it and we didn’t ask for it but it happened anyway.
I could be full of frustration because of missing out on the weather that was so good that month or I can concentrate on the inside thing God blessed me with while I was waiting for release.
Oh beloved. Maybe you feel cooped up in your circumstances. It may feel like an entire month or a whole season is passing you by. You wonder how you ever got here- being on the inside looking out at life. God wants you to know this morning that every season has its blessings. He wastes nothing. He doesn’t let time just slip by. He uses it all- even he hardest times- to teach us more about Himself. While I would not have asked to have things happen the way they have I am thankful for the wonderful things I’ve learned during our shut in days. You too will experience God’s truth and see challenges as stepping stones to greater insight. You just have to focus on the Lord instead of the troubles.
God loves you and He’s for you even now. And you’re not done learning yet. But now is time to take whatever season you are in and let God give you His perspective and His faith rest. You are His prized possession and He has your best in mind as He teaches and encourages you to live in the Light of His lessons for life.

Both Danny and I have learned much in this season. Some things we never asked to learn. Lol Danny came home yesterday from occupational therapy with his shoulder taped. He mentioned that his right shoulder hurt at times and the therapist knew immediately what the problem was. The special cloth tape was applied to help relieve the shoulder blade muscle.
It’s amazing how mentioning a small problem brought great relief.
Oh beloved! There is no problem too small to mention to the Father. Not a single hurt or pain should go without carrying it to Him. His therapy is full of tender loving care and He delights in relieving pain that you aren’t meant to just live with. His application of ointment from on High brings relief that you will be amazed with.
Not only will you find relief in God’s touch you will also find strength increased and hope renewed as you take it all to Him. It is not your destiny to bear your own burdens. Jesus went to the cross and rose from the grave so that you could live powerfully equipped in your heart, mind and body.
God loves you and He’s for you! Take your burdens to Him today. He will pour in the oil and wine to restore your life! He will grant you access to His rich storehouse of promises. And you will find relief as you live in the light of His Glory and Grace.

Before we went to the hospital I bought a hanging flower basket from a local youth group. We were gone a while. When we came home I also spotted our little wren who comes to our deck each year to nest. She was enjoying the hanging basket as she went in and out often. Yesterday I went to water the basket and heard tiny cheeps from within. She had built her nest in the basket! What a lovely place too- full of blooms and greenery and strategically placed where nothing could get to her.
Although we weren’t there to protect her she was safe because God provided and gave her safety. He cares even for the birds.
Oh beloved God wants you to know this morning that He has made a beautiful place for you to have your habitation. He has made it that you are safely away from all pests. He has given you boundaries where the enemy may come close but no closer.
He says to you do not fear. I have you safely in My guarding hand. All around you is desert but you are lushly supplied with beauty in your safe place.
God loves you and He is for you. You are learning to remain secure with the Lord. He is teaching you that His provision in your best habitation. And you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace as you allow Him to take care of you in His place of rest and peace.
