Just So

Sometimes late in the afternoon I look at a couple of things in my living room and I am reminded that I’m not really finished with painting. It’s a work in progress. But even so, I want it to be just so.

We women actually want everything just so. Before anybody comes over or we relax. Just so.

Oh beloved, guess what? All things will never be just so. Instead, God wants us to learn the value of letting the just so go so that we can have freedom.

And He says to you this morning I know everything about your areas that aren’t just so. In your home and in your heart. It’s Me that’s creating in you a clean heart and renewing a right spirit in you daily. As you apply the Word to your life, it’s like finishing up the paint work – slather it on and watch things change. And don’t forget to talk with Me, for I have plans for you beyond the just so life.

God’s desire is to take your imperfect, unfinished life and make it shine! Pride may not stay, fear has to be run off and perfectionism must scatter. But your life is precious to the Lord. So precious He gave His Son for you to salvage your life completely. So precious He wants His Spirit in you to give you fire and purpose and vision and stability and perseverance. So having done the will of God in spite of it all, you receive the crown of blessing from Him!

God loves you and He’s for you. Go ahead and finish the little tasks of life and home and heart. Run to Him though and make time to get the things done that truly make you His. And live in the Light of His wonderful and perfect loving care for you.

Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.

I John 4:18 In this way, love has been perfected among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment; for in this world we are just like Him.

Psalm 5:11-12 But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of Your favor.

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
