Fresh!

Fresh!

I don’t know about you but when I eat food, I want it to be fresh. We throw some of our leftovers out and the wild animals will eat them just fine no matter how old they are. But if humans eat old stuff we get sick.

Oh Beloved! This morning God wants us to know that it’s time to be filled with the fresh from Him! We need a fresh infilling of Holy Spirit! We need fresh fire! We need God to burn up the stuff that isn’t of Him. And He needs us to be set on fire to live in the light of all of his truth. The world’s truth will not help you be a better Christian. The world’s message will not cause you to rise up in faith. The world’s answers are death and sickness to you as a believer. You may have been looking for love in all the wrong places. But God is love! He is what you’re looking for. You don’t need anything that will drag you away from God‘s truth.

And God wants you to have fresh fire friends. Find those who are on fire with the Lord and let them speak into your life! And speak into theirs. As iron sharpens iron, so one sharpens another. Encouragement is such a gift to the body of Christ. As we encourage each other to release what isn’t from God, we find ourselves having room for the things that are from God! You have no time to let yourself live in the leftovers of other days. God knows what you’ve held onto. And now He says that fear has no hold on you. There’s no reason to fear that God won’t provide more if you let go of what was. Rejoice that you aren’t a beggar in the land of the lost. You are rather a Gatherer in the Land of the Living!

God loves you and He’s for you. Thank Him for all that He provides and all the new wine of the season. And live in the Light of His wonderful banquet that never runs out!

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

2 Timothy 1:6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Acts 2:17 ‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

Romans 12:11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
