Fire of Holy Spirit Keeps Us Warm

My Night at the Polar Ice Cap (Or camping in cold weather isn’t for sissies.)

Well we have our camper out at the lake. There is some deception in sunshine. It feels warm but it’s not really. And when the sun goes down everything changes. So seriously it’s still winter and it did feel like I was at the polar ice cap, sleeping outside, at least for a while. Fortunately hubby made things comfy and cozy inside. All was not lost.

Oh beloved, can you relate? Maybe you haven’t camped in the cold. But life can sure make you feel chilled to the bone.

God wants you to know that spiritually you have built in comfort and coziness. Because of your faith in Christ and being born again you have a fire shut up in your bones known as Holy Spirit. And whatever chill you have to endure in life, you can. Once you needed lots of things to warm your world. Now God has given you this precious powerful gift!
So you aren’t just no longer a slave to sin, you are a free and prepared member of God’s heavenly society. What a glorious thing!

God loves you and He’s for you. No more living in the frozen tundra of human thinking. No more wishing for the comforts of this earth. Run to the Father this morning and thank Him for making you cozy and prepared for anything. You can live in all seasons and enjoy your personal relationship with the King who knows your way to warmer days even when you aren’t sure you’ll ever see them again!

Psalm 94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me Your comforts delight my soul.

Jeremiah 20:9 If I say, “I will not mention Him, or speak any more in His name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.

Psalm 31:7 I will rejoice and be glad in Your steadfast love, because You have seen my affliction; You have known the distress of my soul.

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
