God Is The Best Speech Therapist

When my hubby had a stroke, which seems like forever ago, he learned to say no first. After saying yes on accident, he decided it was easier to just say no and then adjust. It made sense. But there were a lot of no’s going on. Thankfully that’s no longer much of an issue and the yes’s have returned! LOL

Oh beloved, it’s time for you to learn to know when to say no and when to say yes. And the Lord will teach you if you let Him. He’s an amazing speech therapist! He wants you to let go of the no’s that keep you from accepting His salvation, His sanctification, His justification and His love and plan for your life. And He wants to teach you to say no to the enemy. When things don’t line up with God’s Word, you can quickly discern there’s a problem and refuse to comply. Tired, weary, worn out, impossible, unusable, And He wants you to learn to say no to regret, fear and striving. If you are in Christ, your life is new and you can be released from these things.

But oh precious believer, learn to say YES to His wonderful Word. Joy is a huge YES. Freedom has been purchased so YES. And rest is your birthright to say YES to. These aren’t just your blessings; they are your weapons! Laying down the things that steal your rest, freedom and joy will give you strength you never knew you had. It doesn’t mean you haven’t had to deal with stuff. It just means the stuff gets a big NO to your life of faith. You are entitled to live the luxurious life of Yes’s to the Lord. You can move away from the need to please anyone but the Lord. And as you learn to please Him your yes’s and no’s become more pronounced. You become a valiant, purposeful, useful Kingdom of God ambassador.

God loves you and He’s for you. Say yes to this truth first. If you know God loves you then you can say yes to Him regarding His tender loving care. Rejoice that you are redeemed from the law of worry and regret. And live in the Light of His ongoing provision of YES in your life!

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.””

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

John 2:5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He tells you, do it.”

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
