First thing that comes to mind when I think of the word ORDER is my grandkids. First they have to choose where we go for a lunch. Then they have to decide what to order. And of course, the combination of items on things – for instance a burger: one has to have mayo, one has to have mustard pickles and catchup, while another wants just ketchup. And then finally, will the place we go to get the order right?
Oh beloved, God speaks to our hearts today. Everything seems to be so out of order. Not just a meal order, but life’s order. We are treated to daily does of things we don’t even want to try. We sure didn’t order this did we? And if we could have it our way, we would tell God “I just want to order things my way, safe, comfortable and secure.”
That’s not how God orders things. He isn’t our order taker. But He does tell us things about Himself and our life that we can know will be good for us and tasty too. Our steps are ordered. Hallelujah! So when we have trouble, as we all have, are or will – we can rest in His promise that our God orders our steps and delights in them on our behalf! Not only does God order our steps, we can order our life as well. Christ came to make things easier for us in the obedience to Him, the adherence to His precepts and the filling of Holy Spirit! Glory!
God loves you and He’s for you. Go ahead and let your life get in order under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, knowing that ultimately you will find great satisfaction in God’s orders over your own.
