Quiet! How many times have I said that over the course of years raising three children and helping raise five grandchildren, at least spoiling them.
Oh beloved I hear the Lord saying this morning be quiet. He’s not getting onto you or me. He just needs us to be still and know that he is God. We are not. He says be quiet. Quietly waiting for his best for us. Quietly hoping in the dark times. He is always with us. He reminds us to that he is a still small voice. So we will have to be quiet to hear him. In a world full of loud, brash, insistent voices it’s nice to know that we can get away to a quiet Place be quiet and hear from our father the only living God!
God loves you and he’s for you. That’s why you can risk being quiet and waiting on him. Other voices will call out to you but no other voice will calm you, bless you, and give you what you really need to hear. So live out of the quiet place where all your needs are met.
Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 131:2 Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother’s milk. Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD
