I bought a lawn flag. I have looked at lawn flags for years. But I always talked myself out of buying one. We have our large American flag out for the weekend. But this colorful flag would fit perfectly in the metal stake that we have. My hubby said buy it. Then it was “which one”? He made me choose! Ugh. LOL I chose a flag that had a heart shaped flag on the scene with the words “God Bless America”.
Why is it important I tell you about this flag? Because of several things. And maybe one will relate to you.
Oh beloved, God wants to speak His mercy and grace into our hearts today. It’s time to relax. Don’t be so hard on yourself. And God wants you to know that He also wants you to enjoy your choices. How often do you have a hard time doing something simple for yourself? And how often do you have a hard time choosing what to do?
Listen, the Word has rules to follow. But the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. It’s important that we have a Savior to follow first and foremost. He came to give us life – and that more abundantly! Abundant life includes yourself. It’s not the me first kind of abundance, but it is the enjoy life kind of abundance. You are welcome to enjoy your life and to make every day count. As you enjoy your life, make your choices and get blessed by the little things along the way – you become a danger to the Kingdom of darkness. Every time you enjoy your life there is a reaction in the heavenlies. Less pain, more gain. Less fear, more confidence. Less worry, more tranquility. It’s time to stop waiting for someone else to validate you, agree with you or choose for you. You are the righteousness of Christ in God and your life is meant to be joyful, peaceful and carefree (read that again, care free). The cares of this world will swallow you up and leave you empty handed and empty hearted. But Jesus fills us richly with His Word of life!
God loves you and He’s for you. He has made a way for you to enjoy the Christian life – to live blessed, healed, encouraged, equipped and free! Thank Him this morning for all the wonders of life in Christ and live in the Light of His mercy and grace!
Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Psalm 116:12 How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me?
Psalm 63:3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.
