My hubby opened the slide-out on our motorhome a couple of days ago. So we went out there late yesterday evening to just sit and enjoy. As it got darker he asked me to look at the moon. I couldn’t see it. He tried to help me but still I saw nothing. We sat there a little while longer and then got up to go back in the house. As I opened the RV door I saw the moon. It was bright and lovely and just coming up over the trees. From the position my hubby was sitting in he could view it before I could. And the darker it got the bright that moon gleamed.
Oh beloved, God is so good to us. As the sun set and the moon comes out of hiding He speaks to our hearts.
Don’t resist the urge to hope beyond hope. That moon was always there. I just couldn’t see it before dark. God is always with us and He shines brightest in the dark. Waiting for the Lord is the power of Faith. He will always do His best shining for you and me, right on time.
Whatever you are looking for, don’t despair. It’s not your business to tell the moon when to shine. It’s not your business to tell God when to shine His answers. He is God and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you could ever ask or think. Isn’t it time to let Him be God? Pray without ceasing. Walk by faith. Always look upward. Don’t ever let the devil tell you the Lord won’t appear. Even in these times of uncertainty and turmoil, God is still God. Jesus didn’t just live a life of miracles, die on the cross and rise again. He didn’t just have a short time of work here. The moon returns over and over again. Jesus is still the Savior and working His miracles on your behalf. If you don’t believe in miracles, start by believing the Lord! You aren’t subject to the world’s depressive, mundane ways. You are in Christ, filled with Holy Spirit and full of His wisdom, power and love!
God loves you and He’s for you. Start there. Then progress on to watching for His hand in your life. He will show Himself as God with all His glory right on time! And you can start before He shines, by living in the Light of His reality and promises today!
2 Peter 1:19 Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.
John 8:12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].
