My hubby gave me a new coffee mug with a lid this morning. He said I could carry it in the car and not spill my coffee. He knows I love coffee! It’s a nice mug with beautiful flowers on it and a sentiment that reads “Make Things Happen”.
Make Things Happen? Oh how I’ve tried to do just that many times in my life. But I’m here to say that we have lots of power as individuals, especially born again individuals, who have the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwelling in us! But the older I get the more I realize that making things happen belongs to the Lord not me. My greatest super power is prayer. That’s where things really happen!
Oh beloved, you’ve tried to make things happen too haven’t you? You worked hard and you kept striving. Yet things haven’t always turned out like you had hoped. Even this morning you are waking up to a disappointment that makes you want to get angry and take matters into your own hands.
However, the Lord is with you mighty warrior! Your life is so precious to God that He woke you up this morning. Whatever decade of life you find yourself in – you have purpose because God has a plan for you. He’s bigger than the problem you face. He’s larger than the life you wished for and didn’t get. He’s beyond Higher than the low feelings of the day. He just says TRUST ME! He follows that with I WILL. He doesn’t expect you to do heroics or work circles around your troubles. He knows inside you there is fear and worry and anxiety. But listen, beloved, those things are shadows that He is replacing even now. He is going to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN for you, in you and with you! You’re going to go beyond the dud things that are dead and defeated! He’s taking you into success in the Spiritual realm that no human can delay or keep from you!
God loves you and He’s for you. Why? Because you put your trust in Christ and you are walking in His plan even when yours failed. You live by faith, you walk in the Spirit and you listen to the Word and follow Him with your whole heart. Run to Him this morning and rededicate yourself to Him and His ways. And live the beautiful life of faith, hope and love. And keep praying because God will Make Things Happen for you!

2 Chronicles 32:8 With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” So the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah
