Timing

Timing is in God’s hands.

I hear these words this morning as I recall the weekend. It was glorious and yet we almost had a tragedy. Our granddaughter bride’s wedding was beautiful and our family gathering was wonderful. Then Saturday evening granddaughter’s puppy went off with the big dogs but didn’t return with them. All of us searched, even Danny and me. Facebook messages and heartfelt prayers went everywhere. Finally late Sunday afternoon he was found at a neighbor’s house near my mother of the bride daughter’s house. It just happened that someone was visiting the neighbor when our son in law went over there and the visitor had seen the dog, not the homeowner.

Timing is in God’s hands.

Oh beloved, don’t believe the lies of the enemy. What God has ordained, He will bring to your life at just the right time. You haven’t missed God. You didn’t mess up too much. You aren’t done or finished. You woke up this morning and took breath in your lungs and even that was God’s timing. Your trials are not dead ends for you. You troubles are not roadblocks. Every situation you face becomes the impetus for a new road of glory – a pathway of timing and thus blessing. Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Don’t quit now.

Search for God’s plan in prayer. Not rote prayer. But heartfelt conversation with the One who gave you life and new life as well. He knows your frame, He’s mindful that you are imperfect, impatient and concerned. He knows who rejected you and who said you were not important to the Kingdom. But beloved, God says you are so very important to Him. Even man’s rejection cannot stop God’s plan – for timing is in His hands. All timing. At just the right time the Lord will take care of you and all the situations you’ve encountered in life.

God loves you and He’s for you. Never mind about your losses, even friends who turned into foes. Even losses that hurt your heart. Your pathway of life is clear in God’s sight. So snuggle up to the Father, praise the Son for His salvation and rest in Holy Spirit for all your comfort as well as wisdom to move on in faith. And live, precious believer, in the light of God’s timing for your life!

Lamentations 3:25-26 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Job 12:10 For the life of every living thing is in His hand, and the breath of every human being.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
