Restored Power

As I sat down at the computer to write this morning, the electricity went off. Total darkness. And to compound the darkness, things “woke up” downstairs! The robot vacuum cleaner and another alarm, along with the outside security light all went to work! Thankfully the lights came right back on and all is settled back down. But wow, it was weird to hear so much going on with the power shut off.

Oh beloved, God speaks to my heart. Some of you feel like the lights have literally gone out in your life. You are feeling powerless. Things have changed and nobody is sure if they will ever be restored. But listen, while the lights are out, the Light is working perfectly! Jesus is the Light of the World and He is not extinguished by any interruption in our power! Hallelujah! We are not living on our own power anyway. Although we may have felt like it before all this trouble. Now we are learning what it’s really like to live in the Spirit instead of the flesh.

God wants you to know that even though you “feel” fear, you are not bound to stay in the dark and live in that fear. You are released by the Power of the Lord to walk through your life unimpeded by any loss of power. Your life has more power within you than any power outside of you. Now is the time to really live! Now is the time to really pray! Now is the time to really reap the harvest of Light in this darkened world!

God loves you and He’s for you. Jesus made sure that all who believe in Him have a testimony of faithfulness in the Light! Run to the Father this morning and thank Him for His Resurrection Power. And live, move and rejoice in the Light of His Glory and Grace!

John 8:12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

I John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
