What Sunrise?

One morning I saw a post From a friend that read “this is the first time I’ve seen the sunrise in a while”. I was so excited that I ran to the patio window and looked out. I did not see any bright sky, only clouds.

I was disappointed. Had I missed the sunrise? How did she get to see it but I didn’t? And then I realized that she was referring to being awake so early.

Oh beloved, do you ever find yourself confused? Wishing you saw what others see? Or wishing you had what they had?

God wants you to know this morning that He has News for you. You get to experience His best for you. Even if your days look cloudy when you think others have sunshine, both of you are experiencing the sunrise of another day. In the hospital room, a board room or the kitchen, you are fully alive to all God’s goodness and blessings for you. You don’t have to worry and fret or compare. You are here for the glory of the Lord and He will shine through you. Comparison is a trap the enemy uses to keep you thinking lack. But God has set you free to be you!

God loves you and He’s for you. No matter what. Run to Him this morning and thank Him for this beautiful day! And live for Jesus in the Light of His wonderful plans.

Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

1 Chronicles 16:32–34 Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!

Psalm 20:4–5 May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
