QUESTION – Five Minute Friday

mistake-1966448_960_720I love to ask questions.  I just want to know why.  I ask God a lot of questions because there are times when I really want to know why.  You know, “why did that happen?”, “why don’t You do something?”, “Why isn’t this prayer answered?” and more.

Oh beloved, what question do you have today?  You know you’ve done things right. You chose Jesus, you were sealed by Holy Spirit, you have God and His Word for your guidance. You mirrored faith in all your marriage, your home, your children and more. But your question may be “Why…?”

God wants to help you out today and relieve you of the agony of the why’s by asking you to change your question.  Instead of the Why’s He says ask Me what I am doing in your life through this trial, separation, anxiety, sorrow.  The question you need to hear from God is relevant to your faith life. And although you may never know why, you can more assuredly know what God is doing.

God loves you and He’s for you. He grieves when you grieve. He’s angry when you are mistreated, maligned and reviled. He promises recompense for demonic activity against you.  And His answers always carry pure love, perfect peace and angelic visitations. Try Him today and put the right question to your Lord and Savior. And live by His truth in the Light of His wonderful ways!

Psalm 55:22 Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles.  angrily hunt me down.

Psalm 64:1 Hear, O God, my voice of complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy.

Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.

Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

Asking what are you doing? What do you want me to learn? More what…instead of why? Good thoughts this afternoon! Thanks.

Thank you for your beautiful post! It spoke right to my heart. So often we yearn and ask God “why?” and all He wants is our hearts. He knows exactly what He’s doing.

Keep up the great work! 🙂
