PRAISE – Five Minute Friday

the-letter-p-3460082_960_720Well we love to say “Praise the Lord!” when something wonderful happens or God answers our prayers in such beautiful ways.

But this morning I hear Him say “Praise Me no matter what”

Oh beloved, let’s practice and perfect praise in our lives –

Praise Him when our bank account is low.

Praise Him when our hearts are wounded.

Praise Him when our hope is faint.

Praise Him in the midst of trouble.

Praise Him when there’s nothing good to be seen.

Praise Him for hearing us.

Praise Him for loving us.

Praise Him for being with us.

Praise Him – no matter what.

God loves you and He’s for you. That’s enough to perfect our praise! Practice His goodness and wait for Him to sweep you up in His loving arms no matter what!

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

Matthew 21:16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, “‘From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?”

Psalm 33:1 Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright.

Psalm 34:1-3 I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of his glories and grace. I will boast of all his kindness to me. Let all who are discouraged take heart.  Let us praise the Lord together and exalt his name. (TLB)

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

  1. Coming from FMF #31. Great verses! I like your list of praising. It’s definitely hard to praise when things are hard. Thank you.
