Having a little more tv/nap time this past week, I found one new show on British TV. The hostess of the show hung out at the trash station hoping to find things she could repurpose or restore or both.
Her ability to take one person’s trash and make it a treasure was unbelievable. And she did just that. In her words, “it is a bit weird to some people to take away old stuff that has maybe no integrity and make it something.” She even took some interestingly painted bathroom stack pipe!
Each time, useless, broken, worn out, abandoned junk became something quite lovely and sought after with the touch of her masterful hand. She didn’t just fix the things she took. She made each thing completely new. Repurposed and changed.
Oh beloved, maybe you consider yourself ready for the trash heap. You feel unusable, broken and beyond repair. You may have been told just that by someone. You may just have lived with self-condemnation for so very long.
God wants you to know this morning, He is making all things new. You are so worth it all to Him. He loved you first. He loves you most. He gave His own son in exchange for you. Not just to give you a fresh start, or a fresh coat of whitewash. He gave Christ to make you completely new. You aren’t just another redone piece of rubbish. You are brand new and your life is now hidden in Christ. Old things have passed away and you have become new! Even though you have gone through things that make you feel like you are the same old same old – hopelessness has been removed from your name tag. You are now a great treasure of supernatural life. It’s time to drop the words that only want to put you down, and make you feel like you should throw yourself away. In God’s masterful hand you are changed into Kingdom quality and you are destined to reign with Him!
God the Father loves you and He is for you – He never forsakes His own ever. Rejoice in Christ’s redemption and restoration of your life. Refuse the life of uselessness the enemy predicts over you. And live full of joy as you walk in the Master’s makeover for your life!
2 Corinthians 5:16 – 17 So we have stopped evaluating others [and ourselves] from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know Him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Romans 6:4 We therefore were buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.
Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who dwells within you.
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
