With the purchase of our new computer, everything is running smoothly. We did buy another computer first. But when we got home we realized the new one had less memory than the old one that was giving us trouble. So, we returned it and got a beefed-up version of the same brand. With the extra memory things are now running so much smoother. And it runs without making a lot of noise as well.
Memory is so very important in computers. Memory can be either a curse or a help in human life.
Oh beloved, God knows every memory you have. While He understands how your memory can bring up poor decision, unforgiven transgressions of yourself and others and pain that you have been through, He wants you to know that memory is very much a choice. Once that memory appears, if it is something you don’t need or want to remember, then you have power within to switch it off. Refuse it. Don’t dwell on the hurtful past. Don’t relive old wounds. Don’t talk to yourself about your regrets. That is a cycle of downward spiral that will keep you feeling low, depressed, angry and discouraged.
But God wants you to know that memory is a bigger help than you can imagine. While you read the Word and take it into your mind, it is also being stored in your believing heart.
Can’t stand and quote Scriptures? Some can and some can’t. But absolutely every Word of God is useful for you – and when you need it most your mind will recall it – to encourage you, equip you and set the enemy to flight. It’s no ordinary set of words and you don’t have a normal set of memory – you have the mind of Christ and you have within you Holy Spirit power to recall what you need – in time of need. While you might feel your memory can fail you as you get older, the Word of God is powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword and runs in the background of your heart and mind. It is there for you always. As long as you take it in as your necessary food, not just a book, you will be able to live it out as your sustenance daily. This is your blessing – to know the Word and have it return to your mind when times are hard and life gets rough. Glory to God!
God loves you and He’s for you. He has everything prepped for life and godliness for you. Isn’t it amazing? You have the ultimate upgrade – Holy Spirit. You never have to worry about the enemy tricking you or giving you lies to live on. You know the Word, you believe the Word and you live by faith in the Word. If you’ve neglected the Word, then even that is instantly remedied by returning to it, praying it over yourself and asking God to reveal it to you. Praise Him that your life is upgraded beyond belief as you live in the Truth and speak the Word in every season of your life!
