As I woke up yesterday morning it seemed a lot darker than usual outside. I didn’t think much of it except that our street light was out. As I left for work we both noticed that not only was the light out it was gone! We were definitely in the dark.
Oh beloved, maybe you feel that you are in the dark. I understand. Everything around can seem so well lit and full of light when suddenly things happen and it just seems dark. It can be illness, conflict or loss. We’ve all been there.
But God wants you to know this morning that with Him you will never have to be truly in the dark. Even when you don’t understand the circumstances you are in, He is your light. When you walk through the shadows of trouble, heartache, and pain He will be with you. He illuminates the way for His own. He speaks light and life to every situation. You don’t just have the Lord with you, your Savior is the Light of the World. And that light resides in you through the Holy Spirit. Yes, times will come that you cannot see the way on your own but you will be able to move forward because of the Lord.
Maybe you’ve been concentrating so hard on the dark situation you are in that you have forgotten you have God’s light to see the way. Open your eyes this morning and look to Him. He is faithful, He is ever present, He is supernaturally there for you. Whatever you have to face you don’t have to go it alone. You will find as you turn your eyes on the Lord the darkness will recede.
God loves you and He’s for you! Your destiny is not to live in the dark about anything. Even decisions you need to make will be clearer and brighter because you are counting on the Lord to light your way. Thank Him this morning that you don’t have to pay anything or ask anyone else for help to get light returned to your life. Rejoice that Jesus made the way for you and He will see you through as you walk in His Presence and learn to live in the Light!
