Perspective

Being met with an unanticipated illness in my precious spouse I was undone. Thankfully Danny has recovered well and continues to regain strength. We will go on with our lives. It’s different. We won’t go back to before. Because God has given us a new perspective through it all. Some things that used to matter just don’t anymore. Other things that weren’t so important have now become very essential. You could say God has rearranged our lives. And we know already that it’s for our good and His Glory.

It is only when we come to the end of everything else that we hear Him most clearly. And He speaks truth like no other because He has invested the life of His Son into us and filled us with His Spirit to live a life pleasing to Him no matter what comes our way.

Oh beloved, and that’s who you are! Even when you’re caught without warning God is not. Before the foundation of the world He knew you – and all you would ever encounter. That should bring you great relief. For if the Lord knows then He is equipped to handle everything. NO weapon formed against you will prosper. You’re not the sum of your problems, you are the representation of Godly living in a world that is full of decay, self-centered living and unrighteous plans. His love NEVER fails and He won’t walk away from you. He is the FRIEND who sticks closer than a brother.

God loves you and He’s for you. Take that truth and make it your life’s emphasis. He blesses only those who seek His face with their whole heart for their whole lives. You cannot make it on your own, but with Him you will fight battles and win, face foes and conquer and live godly as you walk in the Light of His Spirit and His Word!

Daniel 10:19 He said, “O man of high esteem, do not be afraid. Peace be with you; take courage and be courageous!” Now as soon as he spoke to me, I received strength and said, “May my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

I Corinthians 2:5 I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.

Psalm 62:7 On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
