When Danny first got sick I stared at him a lot. Between being so thankful he was alive and making sure he was breathing I was busy. Now I am able to relax some but I still love looking at my living breathing husband.
Having an experience like this suddenly cuts through all the stuff of life. What’s really important becomes so much more so. And what isn’t important gets left where it is. No longer important and not needed for survival, life takes on a lighter more focused direction.
Oh beloved. Whatever you are going through you can rest assured that God has a big plan in the midst of it. He will teach you what is important and what is not. As you focus not on the problem but on Him you will begin to see that what you thought was so necessary for life no longer holds your attention. In fact it’s alright to become totally focused on the Lord. You will find that focusing on here changes everything. You are going to become stronger and more determined to live for Jesus. Don’t worry if things drop by the wayside. Where you are going with Christ will be worth it all.
God loves you and He’s for you. He may not have caused the problem that first caught your attention but you can trust Him. He will work it all out for your good and His glory as you live more fully aware of Him and His plans for your life.
