Life Changing Events

We’ve had a few life changing events in our life. The birth of children and the passing of parents are at the top of the list. Nothing compares to this most recent event. The illness of a spouse, however short in length it may be, tops all. It changes a couple. Suddenly those things that were important become a narrowed list.

Oh beloved. God wants you to know this morning that even in the midst of your life changing events He is with you. He never changes. He never leaves you. You can count on Him for everything, especially when your world changes.

This fiery trial is not meant to destroy you. It is meant to give you a fresh perspective on what really matters. As you focus on Christ, who counted it all joy- you too can have joy like never before. It is in times of greatest turmoil that the Truth becomes so very important. Your heart can be more focused and more fixed on the Lord. Your prayers become more fervent and your hope becomes more anchored.

God loves you and He is for you. Rehearse His promises even before life changing events so you will be prepared for the endurance and faith it takes to get through it all. And rejoice that Christ is in you as your hope of glory as you speak faith over your life always.

Psalm 73:28 But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.

Hebrews 10:22 Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

Hebrews 6:19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
