As I was getting a cup for Danny I heard my phone and glanced to se a text message. As I turned I brushed the empty breakfast tray off the counter. What a loud clang bang across the floor! As I cleaned up the mess we both laughed. I said Grace struck again”
But God spoke to my heart- when you get distracted is when mistakes happen.
Oh beloved. It’s so very important that you don’t let life distract you from the Lord. You need to have your eyes and heart set on Him. He sees the many things you have to do. He knows your heart. The distractions of life are always going to be there but you can focus in on The Lord for peace, steadfastness and joy. Distractions cause messes. As you develop your attention on Jesus your reward will be great.
God loves you and He’s for you. Rejoice that everything you need to do will get done because the Lord is first. And praise. Him that you can live the blessed life focused on Your relationship with the Lord.
I Corinthians 7:25 This I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but to promote what is appropriate and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord.
Luke 10:40 Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.”
Hebrews 12:2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
