Make Your Petitions known to God!
Divorce touches almost every family in one way or another. My brother was only 11 when our mother and his father divorced. He spent his entire teen years going between households. I spent my young life wishing my brother and our older sister had the same parents. Thankfully my mother had custody and shared that with my brother’s father. Petitions were made in court back then I’m sure. And those petitions were granted.
Oh beloved! God wants custody of your heart. Full custody. He’s petitioning your heart for full rights and privileges. He doesn’t want to share you with anybody. He will not share your heart with another.
Fear not. As you grant Him this petition other things in the heavenly realm will happen. Blessings will flow because God has full custody of your heart, mind and soul. You will also receive authority to petition for custody of your loved ones to be given to God.
Mothers and fathers when you petition for custody God hears and He is delighted. Pray that God will take custody and overtake your children, whether they are home or away. He grants that petition because it’s His will and His good pleasure.
There is no room for doubt. All doubt is born out of fear. Fear that God won’t do what He says. His desire is to take your entire family under His wing.
God loves you and He’s for you! No split families of God! His Kingdom is united when His children are committed to Him. Outcomes of heavenly proportions are occurring on your behalf! Rejoice that because you are seated in heavenly places with Christ your life is sealed as you walk in the Light of your Father’s good pleasure and plans!
Matthew 22:37 And Jesus said to him, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.”
Psalm 20:5 We will sing for joy over your victory, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. NIV
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. NIV
