Many of you already know I love a good movie. We watched one recently about a father and son who had the ability to go back in time a relive the past and even change outcomes. Who wouldn’t want to change at least something about their lives? Yet to play with fate is dangerous indeed. He returned to a time after changing an outcome and found that his precious baby daughter was no longer one of his blessings.
What the son found out in the end was that each day should be lived with such joy that nothing needs to be redone. And to leave life in the hands of One who could be trusted in spite of the pain that is encountered along the way.
Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He is more in charge of your life than you can even know. He’s so sovereign that even when you encounter the hardships you are facing His government has no end. You can rest your weary heart on Him. You can look for the joy in the midst of the pain. You can drop the hurts and agonies and move on to better days. Even if you are haunted by a past that isn’t good, you don’t have to worry about re-doing anything. A messed up past is just a stepping stone to a perfection outcome with Christ. He went to the Cross for your regrets. Although remorse may lead us to His forgiveness, it needs never to lead us to hating our lives. You and I, regardless of our pasts, have a new life in Christ.
You have an anointing to make it through everything. You have been appointed to victory in spite of wishing you could go back and do anything differently. Your life is not destined to live in regrets and turmoil over anything. Your destiny is to show forth the praises of Christ who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light. It’s not so much about what you did as what He has done about everything. You’ll remain weak and preoccupied if you ponder your mistakes and wish you could fix them all. Powerful living requires you to ask forgiveness where needed and leave it at the cross.
God loves you and He’s for you. Confess everything to Him. And stop punishing yourself over things the Cross has covered. This is your day to let the past rest where it is and embrace today as a beautiful reason for living. Run to the Father this morning and thank Him for giving you another day in His marvelous grace plan. And live fully alive in the Light of His Glory and Grace!
