Yesterday morning was such a dreary Monday. It was my preference to just stay curled up on my chair with a hot cup of coffee. I didn’t want to venture out into that rainy day at all. But I got ready and headed to work. By the end of the day the sun came out and everything changed. What was dreary became beautiful. What was unpleasant became quite pleasant.
The day was redeemed by the One who puts all the stars in orbit and causes the weather patterns to come and go.
Oh beloved, dreary times will come. But they never last. Even the hardest and coldest and rainiest of days will not last forever. Avoiding the present situation won’t help a bit. No one should be held captive by their circumstances. Those who are in Christ, born again, live beyond the present situations. God says come on! He says venture out with Me! He takes you by the hand the leads you past the dreariness. He knows that if you follow Him you will be brought out into the light because He redeems the days. He causes dreary to become beautiful and drab to become colorful. He causes the clouds of adversity to be swept away and He gives you beauty for ashes.
Your life is not the substance of a bad day. Your life is above it all because you are seated in heavenly places with Him. You’re surveying the situations of life from the viewpoint of the heavenlies as long as you look to the Lord and look from His perspective. You’ve got the Spirit of the living God dwelling in you. He quickens your entire life and gives you fresh insight. This is your destiny! Not to dwell on the things you see with your mortal eyes, but to speak the truth in love to yourself! No weapon formed against you will prosper. Even if you walk through the valley you will fear no evil. Goodness and mercy follow you. You have the mind of Christ to guide you and remind you that you are not perishing, you are going through. The Son will always shine in your life!
God loves you and He’s for you. Run to Him this morning and pour your heart out to Him. Thank Him that all things work together for your good! Bless Him for giving you a reason to wake up, get up and stand up in faith! And live beyond the circumstances as you live and move and have your being entirely centered on His everlasting loving care!
2 Corinthians 4:18 So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable. AMP
2 Corinthians 10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ
2 Corinthians 4:18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
Romans 5:5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.
