He’s Not Holding His Breath

I found myself holding my breath a lot yesterday morning. I was at the county spelling bee and our 9 year old grandson was one of the participants. As each word was given to him on his turn I would mentally spell the word along with him. He spelled quite well. In fact, his age group spelled a lot of words before someone finally won first place. Then my grandson was in a spell off for 2nd and 3rd place. Whew! I felt every emotion and prayed every prayer. I was so proud of him. He remained cool, calm and collected through the whole event. He had practiced those words many times so he was prepared when he went to the stage. What a blessing to have him come in third in the entire county for his age group.

God is not holding His breath hoping you make it. He’s holding your hand walking you through in victory!

Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He is with you. In every trial of faith you never stand alone. As a believer your preparation for the tests you encounter depends on your knowledge of Him. His Presence is your greatest asset. His Presence will teach you His nature. As you learn more and more about His love and faithfulness you will know how to respond when any test or trial is thrown at you. The enemy wants God’s people to be ignorant of His Word and His ways.

As you walk this life it’s the everyday encounters with the Lord that strengthens your ability to spell out the truth in every situation. God sees your desire to win and He sealed your victory with His Spirit. At the cross Christ gave it all so that you would go free. Free to win all the races, complete all the trials and achieve the crown of life in spite of all the tests. This is not your time to leave the stage of life crying. Even when you make missteps or feel like a failure, God is with you. His armor of faith keeps you upright in a sinking world of sand. Everywhere you step is territory of victory given to you. Temporary troubles don’t take anything from you – they give you more faith and more strength!

God loves you and He’s for you! Stand tall and spell it out. Spell it out for a dying world. Spell it out when the enemy roars. Spell it out in the atmosphere of your home, your work and everywhere you go! This is your finest hour – without competition with anyone else. For you are already secured victory and blessing and honor as you live fully empowered by the Spirit of the Lord and walk in His truth through it all!

I Peter 1:7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold–though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Isaiah 50:7 For the Lord GOD helps Me, Therefore, I am not disgraced; Therefore, I have set My face like flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.

Psalm 9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
