Each year the company I work for has an in-service training for three days at the Arkansas 4H Center. To get there is a pretty twisty turny kind of trip off the interstate. One year I traveled alone and I hadn’t been there many times. It was the return to the interstate trip that got me. I made one wrong turn and ended up going down a road that continuously held signs saying “Lake Ahead”. After driving what seemed forever and seeing no other cars or houses I decided I’d better turn around. I was definitely lost. Thankfully I got back out on the highway and made the correct turn which got me pointed towards home. This was before the times of GPS and cell phones.
Oh beloved, God’s desire is that we live a life in such intimate relationship with Him that we never make wrong turns. But even in the life of faith it’s possible. What God wants you to remember this morning is that He has given you the grace to turn around. Nothing is held against you, but some things will mess up your relationship with Him. He wants you to live such a close relationship that you won’t stray or get swept into the wrong lane.
Your life is held so dear to Him – He sent His Son to pay all the prices for everything for you. Christ’s payment for your ransom includes your salvation, your justification, your sanctification, your healing from physical, emotional and spiritual bondage. It’s all paid for! You have an inner GPS to teach you, correct you, and give you a repentant heart towards Him. It’s such a blessed life to stay connected to the Lord for everything. It’s such a blessed travel through life to quickly make amends and return to Him every single time.
God loves you so much that He will always be for you and guide you in the right direction. It’s supernatural living to stay on the right course and supernatural as well to return if we wander off His path. Run to Him this morning and enjoy restoration fellowship with the One who loves you most and knows you best. Rest in His promises as you live in the Light of His Wonderful Plan.
