Holy Pursuit

I grew up in an era where the world stopped for sports. It was tedious living during football especially. Men ate Thanksgiving dinner in front of that televised game. They pursued their teams with their whole hearts. It was all or nothing.

God reminds me this morning that there are many pursuits that put joy in the hearts of people. None so much as pursuit of Him.

Oh beloved, your Champion wants you to know this morning that He takes delight in having you on His team. He knows all the pursuits that call your name. He says there is always time for Him.

And while earthly teams rise and fall, win and lose, get defeated and remain scoreless at times- your life in Christ is a win win situation. If we pursue Him with all our hearts- all or nothing- then no everyone will understand. But every time your heart focuses on God you win- and so do those you love. Your loving pursuit of God results in blessings for your entire team and the whole world.

God loves you and He’s for you. Rise up and run to the Father! Praise Jesus for new life! Ask Holy Spirit to fill you with more of God. Pursue God with single minded purpose and live for fresh fire and power as you live fully enraptured in the Presence of the Only Living God!

Acts 20:24. But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Psalm 36:7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

Ephesians 6:24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
