Early Riser?

I‘m an early morning person. Even as a child I loved the first rays of sun and the opportunity to ride my bike or play with friends. Once I was grown and had my own family early morning was my quiet time before the noise of life with kiddos.

Not everyone is a morning person that’s true. But whatever time we wake up, it’s cause for celebration. There are no ordinary days. Each one is magnificent in its own way. Another day to explore the opportunities and seek the divine in the ordinary.

Oh beloved, God wants you to know that there is purpose in your day. He has ordained you to wake up and embrace the life He has given you. You may be waking up to sunshine or storm clouds. Either way His plan is for you and His hand is on you. Every day is beyond ordinary. If you are waking up to condemnation it’s time to send it out the door. If you are waking up with a load of regrets they too must flee. God doesn’t give us perfect days every morning and we aren’t always perfect. But each day is a perfect opportunity to live for Him. He grants you and I the best gift ever. His mercies! They are new every morning! This is the day to stop attacking yourself! Stop measuring your failures. Stop wishing you could go back and try again. This is the only day you have! Yesterday is far gone and tomorrow is just hope. But today is amazing! Time to praise the One who gave this day to you. Time to live fully in agreement with God! Time to say yes to whatever God puts on your heart knowing that He has great plans for you this day!

God loves you and He’s for you! Jesus is your key to open the day without fear as you walk in the power of the Resurrection and the life of Holy Spirit empowerment. Rejoice that He’s given you another day as you live in His Presence and fulfill His call in the Light of His Mercy and Grace!

Psalm 118:24 This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 84:12 O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in You.

Psalm 3:5 I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me.

Lamentations 3:22 The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”

I was blessed by your post Rebekah! “This is the only day you have! Yesterday is far gone and tomorrow is just hope. But today is amazing!” As a Pastor’s wife, I hear stories daily, detailing the ebbs and flows of life. It’s so easy to throw up your hands in defeat. But when you think about the goodness of Jesus. That he has given you “this day” and it is amazing, you can’t help but forge on. That’s good my sister.
