Quit Doctoring That Wound

Our son had an interesting accident while he was home at Christmas. He was hit in the shin by a heavy metal pulley as he was trying to pull his truck out of the mud. We administered first aid and were so thankful his leg wasn’t broken. That pulley system flew to his shin and ricocheted off into the bushes! Such force!

But he kept doctoring it. With something that was actually keeping the good skin from renewing and leaving a gaping wound. While all agree the ointment is a help in most cases, for his shin it was causing more problems. As he left it alone and quit concentrating on making it heal something miraculous happened. It healed!

Oh beloved, God knows every wound you’ve ever received. You need to know that all Christians have received wounds some time in their walk with Jesus. Some were gaping wounds as the result of horrendous events. Others are little scratches with pain that can be well hidden in the flesh. But all wounds are healable! All wounds are meant to bring us closer to focusing on God not the wound! As I hear God speak today He says pray! Pray for your own wounds to be truly healed with the Balm of Gilead so that you can step out into your calling to bring others to Christ the Healer. Pray for pastors and leaders and loved ones! Pray fervently, feverishly, and in ways that may seem fanatical to others!

And allow God to heal you. Be the witness of what God can do! Share your testimony – that test that gave you a testimony is used to heal others! Walk in the Spirit! Ask for more! Christ made a way for you to live in the depths of His riches daily! If you desire more He will give you more and more and more! If you are tired, weary and hurt – He will heal everything!

God loves you with an everlasting love and He is for you to keep you growing in Christ and living in faith! Rejoice as you run to His arms and receive your healing and live in the Light of His magnificent care!

Psalm 107:19-20. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Psalm 30:2. 2 O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.

2 Peter 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
