The title to a movie made the year I was born comes to mind. The characters of the movie struggled with right and wrong during war time. It was their faith that they held onto through all the troubles and conflicts.
Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He understands. You’ve been through some rough times and you’ve had conflicts of every kind. You’ve even tried to insist on your own way and hold your ground angrily so that things would change. We can all relate because we’ve all tried it.
But the Lord says this morning friendly persuasion is the way. Kindness outweighs intimidation in the spiritual realm. He says when you decided to give your problems, whether people or situations, to Him that is when the tide turned. You may not see it yet but praying, talking to the Lord, does more for the troubled spots than anything. Insisting for a change in the natural just brings more frustration. You are full of the Spirit of the Lord and the real conflict is when God’s children try to handle things in the flesh. He sees you waiting on Him and He says well done. This is a time of learning to see how God responds and how He causes others to draw near to Him and changes their heart. You know and so do I, that we want heart change above all. We want God’s will before our own. That peace that passes all understanding is guarding your heart and mind even now. You are blessed and the answer is coming. In the meantime stay close to the Lord and listen to His still, quiet voice and follow His lead. Your victory will come and you will be shouting hallelujah from the housetop!
God loves you and He’s for you. His ways are kind and generous and He loves to answer prayers. He has persuaded you in the kindest of way to live for Jesus, walk in the Spirit and leave the rest to Him. Rejoice that you walk in everyday peace, joy and love along with victory as you live in the Light of His Wonderful Ways!
