Years ago, our middle daughter lost her glasses. Oh she didn’t leave them behind somewhere. They flew off while she was on a roller coaster in Texas! Still they were gone. She went without until our pastor said we would go back by the theme park and check to see if the glasses were found. Sure enough they had recovered them in the sand below. It turns out many people each day lose things while having the best time of their life.
Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He is fully aware of the things you feel you have lost. He also wants you to know that He is the One who recovers everything you need for you.
But there’s more. He wants you to know that it’s time that for you to permanently lose a few things. He wants you to lose the intimidation of the enemy. That lying devil has bullied you too many times. The Lord says through Christ you have nothing to fear. The Lord says He is loosing the spirit of fear, worry, sadness, depression, disappointment and discouragement. The opposition you have felt as you know you are called by God is being flung away like glasses on a roller coaster. He says no more sorrow and pain. Let it go! None of these things were given to you by the Lord and you don’t have to live with them. He says continue in the love and joy that only He can give. You aren’t meant to live a cowering, cringing, fearful life hoping for heaven. Oh no! Your destiny as a born again through Christ believer is to be fearless, dauntless, powerful child of God!
God loves you and He’s for you! So much so that He will lovingly recover what you really need and lovingly remove what isn’t from Himself. Let Him take you on the ride of your life and rejoice that He knows everything you are feeling. Praise Jesus for His overcoming, unlimited, never failing salvation! And beloved, ride this life with joy knowing that you are walking securely equipped with things God won’t let you lose as you live in the Light of His plan for your life!
