As I dusted at the office I noticed the homemade citronella candle on one of the desks was leaking. The bottom had rusted and the pungent contents was slowing leaking onto the shelf. I picked it up and it had left a mark on the surface.
This morning God reminds me that we are like that candle. What our contents are is what pours out. And we leave a mark wherever we go.
Oh beloved, God wants you to know this morning that He is within you! If you are born again and sealed by His Holy Spirit your contents are all about Him! And everywhere you go He wants to spill out from within you. Even in the hard times, when life feels rusty and shattered, there is more opportunity for Jesus to pour out His love from you and to others. Life isn’t always pretty but life in Christ is beautiful. Life sometimes feels broken, but in Christ you are never destroyed. If you’re having a hard day you can call on the Lord from the inside out. He will give you a fresh anointing of peace and give you a heart for whatever you need – forgiveness for revenge, joy for sorrow, faith for fear. His personality and essence are within all believers. When we live for Jesus He leaves His mark wherever we go. No longer do we suffer under our own weaknesses. No longer do we strive to make Him happy. We abide! Our contents are magnificent, purest gold and impossible to contain!
God loves you and He’s for you! Run to Him this morning and thank Him for all He has done and all you are in Christ! You are filled with the treasure of the Lord and He wants to spill Himself out through you as you live in the Light on the inside and out.

Proverbs 4:23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.
2 Corinthians 4:7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
2 Corinthians 2:14 But thank God! He has made us His captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.
