The life that I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God.
A friend’s daughter just had her first baby. She and hubby took that sweet baby to his first after hospital checkup and all was well with baby. But the parents made a serious mistake. They didn’t remember to take a diaper bag with them. That could have spelled disaster. Slightly unprepared I would say. But they realized and learned a lesson – be prepared. They didn’t beat themselves up though because mistakes happen. And life as parents will be full of mistakes along the way.
Oh beloved, life in Christ will have its lapses and mistakes along the way. But you live your life by faith in the Son of God, not faith in yourself. God knows your heart. He’s seen you beat yourself up over things that happen. He says this morning to stop and listen. Stop condemning yourself and listen to the Word. He says your life is now being lived by faith – faith in Christ who loved you and gave Himself up for you. Even when you feel totally condemned and unloved you are accepted in the beloved. It’s time to live life from the perspective of heaven! God called you forth out of darkness into His marvelous light at just the right time! He sealed you with Holy Spirit forever! He set you apart and He never changes His mind. It’s time to believe God! You will increase your strength and stamina to live for Him as you accept the unmerited pardon for all. This acceptance of God’s forgiveness is a shot in the heart of the enemy of your soul – the devil – who wants you to believe you are hopeless and useless. It’s a shot in the arm for you who have decided God is done with you because you messed up. This truth is not an excuse to live a life of recklessness, but rather a reason to live for Jesus with reckless abandon!
God loves you and He’s for you! What a magnificent story to live by faith in the Son of God! What an awesome testimony that in your weakness He makes you strong! Rejoice in God’s mercies which are new every morning as you live in the Light of His Glory & Grace.
