Born to Die Yet Born to Live!

This morning I woke up to read an update on a young lady named Taylor. She’s the daughter of Rachel Wojo, another author, speaker, mom, wife. I very much admire Rachel’s writings. She writes from the perspective of heaven. Taylor has a degenerative disease and is slowly transitioning from here to heaven. And this morning the Lord reminds me we are all born to die. Even Jesus was born to die. And yet because of Jesus we all will live. What a wonderful thought! What a blessed hope! Someday, for sure in heaven, I will meet Miss Taylor, my sister in the Lord. Of this you can be sure, Taylor was born with a heavenly purpose.

Oh beloved, much is awaiting you in heaven! Perfection awaits there. Oh not the kind of perfection we speak of here on earth. It’s much more beautiful there. Absence of sorrow, no pain to bear, worries long gone, peace instead of despair. All the earthly things we face day in and day out will be absent in heaven. Pure love, pure life, pure motives and pure fellowship with the Lord.

But beloved, we were also born to live! You have an earthly assignment that is in tune with the Glory of God! Not a busy work, but a Spirit work. Dreams and visions, songs in the night, hopes and tears of joy you experience are intended to be shared so that God can use your life, every single bit of it to help others and allow them to see the goodness of God through it all! Won’t you stop this morning and ask the Lord, just as Paul did on the Damascus Road, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” You’ve been redeemed and chosen for such a time as this. Don’t wait for perfection – it will not truly be with you until you reach the heavenly shore. Just let God use you. Let Him have you 100%. Don’t hold anything back. You are a beautiful representation of God’s grace. You were set into history before the foundation of the world. You’re not the sum of your missteps, your mistakes or your weaknesses. Oh no! In Christ you are being perfected and molded into His image. Don’t wait for tomorrow, for tomorrow may not come. Don’t wait for the bank account to fill up either. Don’t wait till you lose weight, get a new wardrobe or change jobs or retire. Now is your day! This is your finest hour! You were born for this day and you have a message to the nations that won’t wait!

God loves you and He’s for you! Rejoice that though you were born to die you are destined to live here and now for God’s purpose and plan. How outstanding and beautiful you are as you share your Good News story with the waiting world as you walk in the Light of His Glory & Grace!

Psalm 139:16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you. NIV

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. NIV

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
