They resurfaced our street and the road connecting us to the main highway. It was a mess. Actually both roads were perfectly fine. I don’t think any of our neighbors can figure it out either. At any rate it’s done and finally after several weeks we have less loose gravel and a more solid surface to drive on. I’m sure there’s a reason somewhere that I don’t understand.
Oh beloved, things have happened in your life. You feel that things were perfectly fine the way they were. It’s a mess. You just don’t understand why it happened. There you were enjoying your life and big changes came. Surely there’s a good reason for it all but you don’t see it.
God wants you to know this morning that you can trust Him. When changes come that you didn’t ask for He is still on the Throne. When you feel you don’t have a solid surface anymore, God is your Rock. He might not have orchestrated the changes but He will use it all for your good and His glory. Even when people make poor choices on your behalf He is still Sovereign and He is still Lord. He wants you to rest in His promises, renew your fellowship with Him, rely on the Holy Spirit to guard, seal and keep you. And even more as you roll all your cares on Him He will relieve you of burdens you were never meant to bear. He will even keep you safe as you traverse the new so that all this doesn’t send you into the pit. It’s not your destiny to be taken out by anything you encounter. But it is your destiny to grow more sure-footed as you learn to focus on Christ and His resurrection –He went beyond the cross and the grave and came forth fully alive! You will too! It’s your purpose from the Lord to live unhindered by what happens and totally centered on His purpose for your life.
God really does love you and He remains for you! You can thank Him for His loving care as you navigate life in the Light of His Infinite Love!
