We watched something new last night. It was a show revolving around homesteaders going off the grid and the perils of those attempts. Last night’s family was clueless. They had a great place to live but no water, no garden and no real preparation for winter. There were also many predators in the area including bears and a mountain lion that had scouted out their home and marked it as his territory. They were in trouble in the wilderness and needed help.
I can relate. Wilderness times come to every believer. Regardless of whether we think we are ready we are going to find ourselves there. But we have a heavenly Father who sent us a Savior who has given us new life, wonderful instructions and Holy Spirit indwelling.
Oh beloved, you have everything you need to survive. Not only can you survive you can thrive! God has worked it all out for you so that even in the hard times when you cannot see a way to make it you will. He’s given you living water so you will never run dry. He sets you up with feasting on manna so hunger cannot get to you. You have only one predator and you are totally prepared in the Spirit to combat all the attacks that might come your way.
You may feel this morning that it’s just another day in the wilderness. But you don’t have to take that thought into your entire day. Rehearse the supplies that are provided for you and praise God for them first. You are not destined to live without a clue. No you are destined to walk in victory no matter what. As a wilderness survivor it’s imperative you remember that Jesus is your daily bread so that you don’t go scavenging for things that will never satisfy. While you will go through things you will never starve because Christ purchased it all for you and you are fully equipped to make it! Don’t focus on the disasters around you. Those disasters will cause you to have fear and to lose faith. Instead focus on the provisions of the Lord and use them well. This is your finest hour to live fearlessly courageous and confident wherever you go.
God loves you and He’s for you. Run to Him this morning and thank Him for provision and take those provisions with you as you live powerfully equipped spiritually, physically and emotionally everywhere you go.
