She wanted a piece of homemade candy that was on the counter. But it was for those who had come to the company seminar that was about to be over. When the answer was no she pulled out what she felt was her ace in the hole. “Do you know who my daddy is?” She knew her father was important enough that she could name drop and surely get a piece of the luscious chocolate confection.
Oh beloved, the enemy wants to forbid you to have anything sweet in your life. He has come to wreck, ruin and ban you from your inheritance and your position. You have nothing to worry about. Unlike a piece of Candy meant for someone else and not you, everything in the Kingdom of God is meant for you! When the enemy roars like a devouring lion remind him “Do you know who my Daddy is?” And when you think you don’t deserve Spiritual gifts remind yourself of just who your Daddy is!
Father God says today, not someday, you are privileged to walk in all the honor befitting a child of the King. He goes on to say that you are redeemed from waiting, hoping, fearing, worrying, juggling, competing and guessing. It’s not your destiny to leave empty handed as you go into this day. It’s your destiny to reach out for all the fullness of the Godhead. You’re blessed, chosen, designed and fashioned to be perfect and have all the good and perfect gifts of God. Don’t waste another day wishing for things that won’t satisfy. Don’t waste another day waiting for someday. Today is your day! Lavish is the word for your heavenly Father. He’s so lavish in love and benefits and fellowship that your Savior went to the Cross to secure your forever position in the Kingdom and Holy Spirit has filled you with all you will ever need to walk satisfied in Him.
God loves you and He’s for you! No need to humiliate yourself by refusing the banquet table. No reason not to remember who your Daddy God is. Praise Him this morning that you are going out with joy and being led forth in the power of Christ’s Resurrection to live in the Light of God’s truth about you!
