Danny left very early Saturday to carry a dialysis patient to the hospital. He came back to the house to rest before picking the patient up. We both napped off and on listening to music. I woke up as I felt the couch move and asked what he was doing. A few minutes later we realized we had felt the effects of a 5.6 earthquake over 200 miles away.
God spoke to my heart: I AM that I AM. Even when the world is shaking I am steady. My strength arises in the shaking. You can trust Me always and lean on My love no matter what.
Oh beloved, we live in shaky times. Your personal world has been shaken too. Things have happened that made you feel your world crumbled about you. Make no mistake in thinking that God doesn’t care. Don’t assume that God is not with you. His promises are true no matter your situation. These are the days of growth and faith. It’s not time to find a hole to crawl in. The enemy may speak fear into your mind, but you don’t have to let it go to your heart. You have all the power to combat the enemy and remember the world of the Lord for every shaking you experience. The hardest things, the secret sorrows, the tears that have flowed – none of this has missed the Lord’s notice. When you’ve prayed with barely a breath, He bent down to listen. When your tears wouldn’t dry up, He gathered them in a bottle. And all the time before the foundation of the world He planned for your victory. The earth is not your foundation, the Lord is! Your job is not your steadiness, God is! Your plans aren’t your firm ground, the King of heaven is! He says only Me – in Me you will find firm, steady, sure and unmovable life.
God loves you and He’s for you. Rejoice that the Mountain Mover will hold you steady all your days. Rest in His promises and seek your destiny without fear. Remain steady with the Lord as you live in the Light of His Loving kindness and eternal care.
Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then My faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
2 Samuel 2:22-23 He said, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; My savior, You save me from violence. “
Psalm 121:1-3 A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. I look up to the mountains–does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
