What will they think of next? I saw an advertisement about new luggage. It has been developed to follow you wherever you go. You can’t put it down and forget it or leave it anywhere. It’s going with you.
We all have luggage we tend to carry around with us. We don’t need a smart phone or blue tooth equipped suitcase to lug that junk around. But God wants to set us free of the baggage of our past. With Christ we can put that stuff down and forget it.
Oh beloved, it’s time to travel light. Where God is taking you there can be no extra baggage following you around. That stuff weighs your heart and mind down. If it’s past sin, it’s under the blood of Christ. If it’s regrets God has already promised to turn all things into good. If it’s reminders of your imperfection then Christ has said you are perfect in Him. Your weariness will keep you from going the distance. The enemy’s constant reminders will keep you sedentary and despondent. But this day the Lord has said freedom! He has said drop the stuff and listen: You are chosen, precious, free, anointed, set apart, reconciled, fulfilled and most of all loved. You are full of worship and praise. And the enemy’s false information cannot follow the one who worships and praises the Lord! You don’t have to live under any circumstances you only have to live under the guidance of Holy Spirit! God has equipped you and angels escort you everywhere you go! Your destiny is to see answers to prayer, children return to their place at the Father’s table, minds to be opened and hearts be changed. The baggage the enemy insists you have to carry with you are lies he developed to hinder you. But Jesus says you’ve been set free!
God loves you and He’s for you – that’s all you need to carry in your heart as you walk this life of faith and live in the Light of God’s Glorious calling!
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. NKJV
