The younger grands and I play a grand game. I ask them “How much do I love you – 7 or a kazillion?”
They laugh and sometimes say 7 but they know I love them a kazillion! My love for them is unexplainable and nothing they could do would ever stop me from loving them. I won’t ever not love them. Poor English maybe but understand – grandmothers don’t quit loving grandchildren ever.
Oh beloved, God loves you a kazillion! And more. It’s impossible to believe I know. We are all so unlovable in our own special ways. Each of us has a boatload of baggage of mistakes, regrets, unlovely thoughts and decisions and actions. But God loves us. God loves you. Just the way you are. This is the finest reminder I could ever give you and obviously God has you on His mind this day because He put His love on my heart. He wants you to know that He loves you. He doesn’t regret it, amend it, forsake it, hold it away from you ever. He doesn’t regret you – He chose you before the foundation of the world. He loved you before you were you. He doesn’t change His mind based upon your behavior either. He doesn’t amend any aspect of His love based on your response.
God wants you to know this – He loves you forever and immeasurably. When tough times come you will be loved. When you mess up you are still loved. His love is constant in spite of your shortcomings. And He will never say I love you if… So this day, while you are reading this, take a moment with the Father and tell Him you accept this magnificent love. Go ahead and accept it. And tell Him. Then thank the Son for loving you all the way to the cross. And praise the Holy Spirit for indwelling you in love without expecting perfection. This fresh revelation of living loved will change everything. With love comes acceptance, forgiveness, kindness and oh so much more. You are now on your way to the most glorious life ever – living loved by the One Who knows you completely and loves you still.
Let’s repeat it. God loves you. And He’s for you. Rejoice that you have moved from the Kingdom of darkness to Light simply because God loves you. He’s called you to be a lover like He is. This is your destiny to walk in His love and pour it out to others everywhere you go. The world is crying for love and God has given it to you. Go forth and conquer fear, unforgiveness and more as you live in the Light of The Father’s Magnificent Love!
Romans 5:8 But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. AMP
John 4:16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has [a]for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
I John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation [that is, the atoning sacrifice, and the satisfying offering] for our sins [fulfilling God’s requirement for justice against sin and placating His wrath].
Ephesians 3:17-19 hen Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
