Want. What do you want? (agitation) You want it when? (delirious) I just want ______ (fearful, fretful, needy, etc.)

Four little letters say so very much. We are wanters by nature.  We want to sleep later, work less, get more, achieve better, have do-overs, to be forgiven…This list of wants goes on and on. That’s before the bigger house, bigger boat, bigger car, bigger self esteem, bigger salaries…

What do you want? What do you WANT God to do for you? Where is your want – your lack that you are trying so hard to fill the gaps?

And yet as I signed one of my devotional books over to a dear young woman, the inscription God directed me to write said, “Everything you’ve ever wanted is found in Christ!”

Oh beloved, run to the Father today and pour out your hear to Him. He is a good listener and an awesome Provider! Everything is found in Him, through Christ, by Holy Spirit indwelling – My God indeed will provide all you ever needed and even more. He provides the wants or gives us peace in the place of something we thought we just had to have.

You are a mighty woman of God – filled with praise, filled with hope and filled with power! You can stop lamenting the lack because God is your All in All. Take that to the bank and cash it! Throw that in the enemy’s face and stomp him. Sing that to the heavenlies and worship the Lord! And live oh live lavishly in the light of God Who satisfies our longings as nothing and noone else could do!

Psalm 145:16 You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Psalm 107:9 For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
