Easter May Be Over But Christ is Life!

As we were hiding eggs in our yard yesterday for the grandkids to hunt, we found a couple of last year’s plastic eggs. Sure enough they were found in places where we were planning to hide them again. The remnants of last year’s celebration remained.

God speaks to my heart: Easter may be over, but the Resurrection of Jesus remains. Sometimes the benefits seem hidden but if you search for Me you will find Me. And where you find Me you find your resurrection life.

Oh beloved, when Christ went to the Cross He secured your redemption from the penalty of sin. But He did so much more! Just as He said Lazarus’ sister, “I AM the Resurrection AND the life”. Christ indeed died, but He rose again. That’s our clarion call! That’s God’s message to us, His children! Because He rose again you don’t have to live a dead empty life. No matter what happens to you, you are living in the Resurrection. Death has no hold on you but listen to this beloved, the flesh has no hold on you, fear has no hold on you, worry, temptation, depression, confusion, anger, resentment, condemnation – those too have no hold on you.  You’ve been set free! It’s already been done for you. You’re not a victim of your past with its troubles and mistakes. You’re an overcomer sealed by the Blood of the Lamb and walking in newness of life! Things that used to give you a death sentence now cause you to rejoice because you know that in Christ you can do all things! This life you live is not just a waiting period for heavenly living; it’s your time to shine the Light of Christ everywhere you go! He’s the life for your home, your office, your family, your marriage, your classroom and more.

God loves you and He’s for you! Run to the Father this morning and thank Him for giving you new life every day! Ask Him to open His Word and show you what resurrection living is really like! Tell Him all your problems, your troubles, your fears and watch as He lifts you out of despair and into Holy Spirit anointing as you walk in the Light of His Truth about you!

Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world.

Romans 6:4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
