Don’t Let the Devil Monkey with Your Calling

We recently watched a documentary about the markets in India. We watched as a woman brought her cart laden with fruit and vegetables to the market. We also watched as gangs of monkeys from that region began their daily task of stealing those fruits and vegetables. One monkey would slip up and distract the woman as she fought him off with a stick. Meanwhile several more would come behind and wreak havoc with her livelihood – the fruits of her labors. It was a never ending, daily battle she had between those monkeys and her. Yet she managed to fight them off and do what she intended to do. She stood her ground each and every day. She was fearless!

The enemy of our souls is on a never ending pursuit, daily trying to steal our fruits of life in Christ. It’s his job to wreak havoc in our lives. We want the Christian life to be easy and neat. But we are in a constant battle between the one who wants to steal our life and us. Yet unlike the woman and her cart, we are protected by the LORD. We don’t have to fight alone and we don’t have to use our own best education or worldliness or personal strength to fend off the attacks of the devil. It is daily though and we must learn to stand our ground. But we can be fearless and victorious as we learn to stand in our believer’s position of faith!

Oh beloved, you have all the weaponry needed to stay the course in Christ! You don’t have to give it all away to the enemy. He is not destined to be the winner in this battle of life. You are! It’s your design from heaven to win every challenge in the spirit and to be and live as who you are intended to be as you stand your ground every day. In Christ you can do all things because He strengthens you – for life, for fruit production, for overcoming victory! You aren’t weakly trying to beat the devil away with a stick. You are standing in Christ, completely covered by His love, at the foot of the cross, making a show of the enemy’s trickery openly! Today is your day to stand tall and fully armed with all you need to defeat the onslaught of lies and troubles! Take your cart to the marketplace and rejoice that you are entitled to live fully alive in Christ, fully protected by God and fully endowed supernaturally by Holy Spirit indwelling!

God loves you and He’s for you! His love is a covering that never fails for you, it’s always with you. His care is because of His love so it is based on His love alone, not your efforts or abilities. Even in weakness you can stand in His love and be protected by faith. You can say take that devil as you remind Him what the word says about you and your standing in Christ! The enemy has to flee as you sing the high praises of God with your mouth and wield the two edged sword of the Spirit in your hand! Rejoice as you live this life of faith in the Light of His Magnificent Protection and Victory!

I John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him. AMP

Psalm 34:19 Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the Lord rescues him from them all.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
