What a Love Story!

Our family has always enjoyed movies. Even when we were a young married couple we’d go to the drive in. We don’t like the same kinds of movies but that’s okay. I will tell you I am a sucker for a love story. Even if I’ve seen it a dozen times I will watch again. Something about a love story is so full of hope and joy in spite of the hardships. I love love stories.

Oh beloved, God wants you to know that your life in Him is a love story.  From start to finish the relationship you have with God is all about love. He loved you before you even had an idea that He existed. He didn’t day dream about you like young people do. No, He created you for Himself before the foundation of the world. He knew you then. He knows you now. And He still and always will love you. His love for you is marked by His very own nature. He is Love. He can’t give out anything but love. He is the one who lovingly brought you to salvation. You didn’t choose Him, He chose you. His character and essence are such that no matter what He loves you. He doesn’t disappoint like human love can. He isn’t two faced or fickle or in it for Himself. His love is extravagant – it goes far beyond the extra mile. His love sought you and bought you and keeps you and will take you home to heaven one day.

Don’t you think it’s time to surrender the hurts of human love and embrace the love of God fully? You can’t do a thing about the broken heart someone else may have given you. But today you can ask God to help you see once and for all how deep and wide and long and high His love is for you. His love is going to change you. History proves that. The Word of God showcases that. He longs to give you all the Kingdom property and pronouncements, some of which you may never get to know apart from realizing His love. He gives lavishly great and wonderful gifts to those He loves. He gives peace, wisdom, power, the keys to the Kingdom, the rights of being an heir and so much more! He gives beauty for ashes, strength for fear, the oil of joy unlimited for the spirit of heaviness. He makes all things new. He calls you beloved, chosen, redeemed, protected, honored, gifted, valiant, winner, blessed and forever His! This love God has for you gives you purpose, meaning and faith.  This love is a game changer – it takes every other love and causes it to pale in comparison and yet it gives you the capacity to love others even more! What victorious love the Lord has for you!

God loves you and He’s for you! This is no Valentine crush. This love sent Christ to the cross, willingly, to give you the chance to go free! Rejoice this morning and take it all in – as you live in the Light of His Magnificent, Never-ending Love!

Ephesians 3:18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is.

I Timothy 1:14 Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 3:5 May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.

Psalm 42:8 But each day the LORD pours His unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing His songs, praying to God who gives me life.

About rebekahbeene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
