It’s Time for an Upgrade

There are times when I go to my computer and it’s in the middle of an automatic upgrade. That means time spent with the inner workings of technology when I just want to use the computer. All I can see is the computer is downloading or restarting. It’s never convenient for me. But the upgrade is necessary for the machine to work at its best in efficiency and productivity.
Spiritually God gives His children regular upgrades. We see those times as inconvenient and a real trial. Face it, wouldn’t we rather go through life just reaping all His benefits and using Kingdom technology as we need it? Who wants to wait and be patient and learn through trials? Yet those are the very things that indicate God is up to something. Every situation we are in is a download of opportunity for Holy Spirit upgrades and even then we sometimes have to step back, wait and restart. It’s God’s timing and His plan even if we are unaware of the need.

Oh beloved, isn’t it good to know that the things you might be dealing with are going to be used by the Lord for your benefit? You can choose to allow God to give you what you need or you can choose bitterness, anger, revenge and more. The choice you make now will determine how well you run the race of faith after the trial is over. Depression, disappointment, impatience and frustration will all slow down the process and may even keep you in the situation. Remember His promises and go through the trial and into the upgrade knowing that the restarts of your life are like launching pads for a higher level with God. Your best reminders during the times of inactivity and waiting are that you are chosen, redeemed, loved, guided, equipped and restored for His glory. Don’t wait another moment to let God do what He wants in your life. You will be so glad that you let God have His way for there are wonderful things ahead for the one who is willing to let Him do the work. Always keep in mind, the enemy wants to devour you and keep you dead in your tracks, but God is always working to renew you and give you greater anointing, power and wisdom straight from His heart!

God loves you and He’s for you! He isn’t saying that your present situation is not hard. He knows the how hard they are. But He’s promising that they are producing an eternal weight of glory! He promises that all things work together for your good! Rejoice that you’re not just enduring you are being lifted higher in the Spirit as you live in the Light of His Magnificent Plans for your life!
I Peter 5:10 In His kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

Psalm 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count.

Hebrews 13:21 May He equip you with all you need for doing His will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to Him forever and ever! Amen.

About Rebekah Beene

In a Women’s meeting in 1983, I went up for prayer and to see if God had “anything for me”. The woman of God who was praying for people spoke over my life. She said these words: “You will write books. You can go to the bank on it. Rivers of living water will flow from your belly…”
